Southeast Asian organization forms new roster with aims to turn around a quiet Pro Circuit season.
The Southeast Asian region is abuzz with roster moves, as yet another squad from the region appears to be seeking a change before the roster lock period comes to a close. Execration is the next team up in the roster change queue, as the team is putting together an almost entirely new roster. Following the departure of Kim “Gabbi” Villafuerte and Ralph Richard “RR” Peñano to join the new Team Admiral, the team found itself with too few players to fill out its lineup. The team appears to have made its move to remedy that issue, removing Ryan “Bimbo” Jay Qui, but adding four new players to round out the roster.
Fernando “Nando” Mendoza and Karl “Karl” Jayme will play the Carry and Mid roles for the squad, respectively. Nando is no stranger to the Execration organization, as this stint with the team will be the third time he has been a part of its roster. Karl is an apparent newcomer to the professional Dota 2 scene, with the nineteen year old having never played for a pro team before.
In the Offlane, Jayjay “yAj” Garan will be handling duties for the new Execration roster. YAj has been in the Southeast Asian scene for a few years now, having spent time on the rosters of fellow SEA teams Mineski and Happy Feet, alongside a previous run with Execration back in 2014 and 2015.
Jomari “Grimzx” Anis and Kimuel “Kim0″ Borromeo Rodis will be the supports for Execration, with Kim0 serving as the team’s captain. Kim0 is the sole remaining member of the previous Execration lineup, while Grimzx appears to be another newcomer to professional Dota 2.
Overall, Execration is hoping to return to the competitive mix within the Southeast Asian region after falling significantly behind its regional rivals this season. The team has a bit of a head start in terms of the development of its new lineup, as the team had been playing with many of its new members previously when the organization was looking for stand-ins to fill its roster vacancies. We’ll see if this new look squad will have the strength to earn place in the hierarchy in the Southeast Asian region.
The new Execration lineup:
- Fernando “Nando” Mendoza (Carry)
- Karl “Karl” Jayme (Mid)
- Jayjay “yAj” Garan (Offlane)
- Kimuel “Kim0″ Borromeo Rodis (Support)(Captain)
- Jomari “Grimzx” Anis (Support)
