The North American squad announces partnership with new organization, roster remains unchanged.
Earlier this month, the North American region received some exciting news as a new team was announced to compete in the region. Animal Planet featured a mix of established veteran players and lesser known talents in a talented squad that many assumed wouldn’t remain independent for long. Today, that much awaited developement has come, as it has been announced that the team has signed with Iceberg esports. The organization announced that it has signed the entirety of the former Animal Planets lineup, and that no changes were being made.
For Iceberg esports, this new roster represents its second foray into competitive Dota 2, as the organization briefly held a roster at the beginning of the season in September of 2017. With the signing of Animal Planet, the organization is hoping to become a contender within the North American region and potentially make waves on the Pro Circuit as well. The team already has one Pro Circuit appearance lined up for the future, as the team won the North America Qualifier for the GESC: Indonesia Minor and will be attending the event in March.
