The SEA organization makes yet another roster change as the open roster period nears its end.
The Clutch Gamers organization is once gain in the news in the Dota 2 world, as the team has announced even further changes to its roster. Following the addition of four new players to its lineup just days ago, the team has replaced Vladimir “Chappie” Kuzmenko with Dominik “Black^” Reitmeier. The move gives Clutch Gamers a roster for the rest of the 2018 section of the season that does not contain a single member to have played for the organization in 2017.
Black^ comes to Clutch Gamers as a veteran player with experience across a multitude of regions. The German player began his career in Europe back in 2011, but has since seen action with squads in both China and Southeast Asia. Black^ is a two time TI participant, but has not been largely involved in the Pro Circuit scene this season following the disbanding of Team Faceless back in July.
With the addition of Black^ to the roster, Clutch Gamers is now a completely different squad from any iteration that we have seen so far this season. His inclusion in the lineup does little to answer the question of where the team will play, as the Southeast Asian organization has no SEA players on its roster. Black^ may bring veteran presence and talent to the team, but a complete roster change like this is sure to be a significant change to adjust to, and the team’s immediate performance in whatever region it ends up playing in will likely be severely limited. Clutch Gamers is hoping that the adjustment period will be as short as possible, and that this new look lineup can achieve some measure of success regionally and perhaps earn an opportunity to perform on the Pro Circuit stage.
The roster of Clutch Gamers following the addition of Black^:
- Dominik “Black^” Reitmeier (Carry)
- Anas “MagE-” Hirzallah (Mid)
- Kharis “SkyLark” Zafeiriou (Offlane)
- Mohammad “AfrOmoush” Khalil Ibrahim Abu Al Eis (Support)
- Vladimir “yol” Basov (Support)
