The Southeast Asian squad parts ways with 2 of its players with the roster registration deadline fast approaching.
The Southeast Asian region continues to be shaken up rather significantly at the top of the regional hierarchy, as another leading SEA squad has announced changes to its roster this offseason. TNC Pro Team, otherwise known as TNC Predator, announced today that it would be parting ways with 2 of its players, leaving the team with a roster of just 3 players with 10 days remaining before the roster registration deadline. Carry player Marc Polo Luis “Raven” Fausto and offlaner Samson Solomon Enojosa “Sam_H” Hidalgo were confirmed to have left the team today in an official statement from the organization. That announcement also stated that the team’s remaining players will remain a part of the roster “for now”, though further changes still appear to be a possibility depending on the free agent situation in the region.
For the 2 former members of TNC Pro Team, different futures appear to be on the horizon. Following his release from TNC Pro Team, Sam_H has announced that he will be taking a break from competitive Dota 2, which would imply that he will not be joining a new squad in time for the roster registration deadline. OF course, the new rules of the Pro Circuit would allow the offlaner to make a return later in the season, though whatever team he joins would have to sacrifice some of its Qualifying Points, if it had any. As for Raven, is appears for now that he will be looking to join a new squad before the September 15 deadline. The carry player has spent time with just about every major Southeast Asian squad in his career, having played for TNC Pro Team, Fnatic, and Mineski since beginning his professional career in 2014. Though only 19 years of age, Raven has proven himself to be a capable player at both the regional and international levels, and will likely be someone who is highly sought after within the Southeast Asian scene in the coming days.
As for TNC Pro Team itself, it is not fully clear where the team wishes to go following the loss of 2 of its players. The team made no announcement of roster additions in its statement regarding Raven and Sam_H’s departures, but it can be assumed that the organization has players in mind already to fill the vacancies in its lineup. While the team has experimented once before with bringing in talent from other regions, it seems far more likely that the team looks to maintain its all-Filipino roster, or at least an all-Southeast Asian one.
