The Swedish midlaner makes his return to Europe as The Final Tribe completes its roster for the Pro Circuit season.
Following a somewhat disappointing end to the squad’s otherwise decent Pro Circuit season, The Final Tribe was at something of a crossroads heading into the offseason. The organization needed to determine whether it wanted to build itself up through either a full roster shuffle or by standing pat with its lineup and banking on consistency and improved team chemistry to carry them through. Rather than go fully for either of those options, the team opted to take a bit of both with its offseason moves, as the team parted ways with Axel “Pablo” Källman in July. Nearly 2 months later, the team has officially announced the replace for Pablo, as the team adds another Swede to its lineup in the form of Rasmus “Chessie” Blomdin. The addition of Chessie at the midlaner position prompts a positional change for another member of The Final Tribe, as Adrian “Era” Kryeziu moves from the carry/mid role to the support and captain’s positions for the team.
Chessie comes to The Final Tribe having spent nearly the entirety of his career in the North American region. Aside from a brief stint as a coach for Ninjas in Pajamas back in 2015, Chessie has only ever played for NA squads in his Dota 2 career. In his 3 years with compLexity Gaming and WanteD, Chessie attended 5 Major Championships, although he was never able to make an appearance on the TI stage. Between his 4 years of Dota 2 experience and his career as a professional Heroes of Newerth player, Chessie brings another veteran presence to The Final Tribe’s lineup that the organization hopes will be enough to push it into consistent contention within the European region this season.
The roster of The Final Tribe following the addition of Chessie:
Pontus “Frost” Frost (Carry)
Rasmus “Chessie” Blomdin (Mid)
Jonas “jonassomfan” Lindholm (Offlane)
Simon “Handsken” Haag (Support)
