A series of player transfers has brought forth a new squad in the Chinese region as BurNing puts together his new team.
Throughout the offseason to this point, there were rumors regarding the new team that Chinese veteran Xu “BurNIng” Zhilei was looking to put together. Talk of a super team and a “Team DK 2.0” were thrown about, but no concrete roster moves had been announced until earlier today. Team Aster has officially reveled its roster to the Dota 2 world and is ready to compete in the Chinese region this season. Transferring from the roster of VGJ.Thunder will be carry Liu “Sylar” Jiajun, with midlaner Deng “Dstones” Lei coming over from Echo Gaming. The duo of Lin “Xxs” Jing and Ye “BoBoKa” Zhibiao make their way to the lineup from Invictus Gaming, while Lu “Fenrir” Chao will complete the roster having transferred away from Vici Gaming.
Sylar, Xxs, BoBoKa, and Fenrir are all familiar faces in the Chinese region, but Dstones is a player that is getting his first major shot at receiving attention and exposure outside of the regional scene. The carry turned midlaner spent the last season on the rosters of Team MAX and Echo Gaming, where he put together solid performance but failed to find much in the way of success. He has only been playing as a professional for around a year and a half now, with his career having begun in March of 2017, so he is a relatively inexperienced addition to the Team Aster lineup. However, with a roster full of talented and experienced veterans, Dstones will be in an environment in which he will be able to learn and develop into what Team Aster hopes will be a star player. The Chinese region is always one that feels particularly crowded in terms of teams and talent, but Team Aster has a chance to throw itself into the mix in the region and potential emerge as a leader in the Chinese Dota scene.
The roster of Team Aster:
Liu “Sylar” Jiajun (Carry)
Deng “Dstones” Lei (Mid)
Lin “Xxs” Jing (Offlane)
Ye “BoBoKa” Zhibiao (Support)
Lu “Fenrir” Chao (Support)
