paiN Gaming registers new roster for 2018-2019 campaign

Just a few days after its old roster was confirmed to have left the organization, paiN Gaming is back with a new lineup for the upcoming Pro Circuit season.

It didn’t take long for paiN Gaming to get itself back onto the horse within the South American region, as the Brazilian organization has registered a new roster on the eve of the roster registration deadline. Just a few short days ago, the organization was at the center of some major news in the region, as it was revealed that its previous lineup had parted ways with paiN Gaming and struck out on their own. The team has put together a completely new lineup for the new season, and one that incorporates a number of North American players as well. Former Wind and Rain carry Ravindu “Ritsu” Kodippili will be transferring to the team, while free agents Quinn “CC&C” Callahan, Adriano de Paula “4dr” Machado, Rodrigo Lelis “Liposa” Santos, and Francis “FrancisLee” Lee will round out the team’s lineup.

The infusion of 3 U.S. players into what has been traditionally a majority Brazilian team will be interesting for paiN Gaming this season, as will the positions of its players. Barring any future changes or clarifications, 4dr is set to move from his usual role as a Carry or Midlaner into the Offlane role for the new paiN Gaming. Similarly, Liposa is apparently being shifted as well, moving from the Offlane role to a Support position in the team’s new lineup. Added on top of this are the carry duo of Ritsu and CC&C, both of whom come to their new squad as famous, or perhaps infamous, figures in the North American Dota 2 scene. The 2 players have not always been the most amenable or particularly well received players in their regional community, and have had some somewhat controversial situations in the past. However, the hope for paiN Gaming is that the talent and experience of these players will be enough to outweigh issues of positional changes or behavioral concerns. Should that come to pass, then this new paiN Gaming roster will be set up for success within South America this season, and could emerge as one of the leading squads in the region.

The roster of paiN Gaming:

Ravindu “Ritsu” Kodippili (Carry)
Quinn “CC&C” Callahan (Mid)
Adriano de Paula “4dr” Machado (Offlane)
Rodrigo Lelis “Liposa” Santos (Support)
Francis “FrancisLee” Lee (Support)
