Following a disappointing opening to the Pro Circuit season, the CIS squad is making some early changes to its roster
The formation of Odium drew quite a fair bit of hype and attention during the offseason, as Ilya “Lil” Ilyuk put together his own team composed of regional veterans and emerging talents. However, that new squad did not get off to the most impressive of starts, as Odium finished in the 5th-6th place position in The Kuala Lumpur Major CIS Qualifier, and did not attend the subsequent DreamLeague Season 10 Minor CIS Qualifier. In the wake of what was a fairly disappointing start to its season, Odium has opted to make some changes to its roster, with Carry Alik “V-Tune” Vorobey and Midlaner Victor “GeneRaL” Nigrini leaving the lineup. Since the team has no Qualifying Points this early in the season, the roster moves won’t have any effect on the team’s total.
As of now, there have been no official announcements made as to who will be replacing V-Tune and GeneRaL in the team’s lineup, and it is likely that the squad will use the time between Pro Circuit qualifiers to try out potential new additions in scrimmages and various third party tournaments. In fact, the team has already been playing in the Open Qualifiers for ESL Hamburg 2018 with trial players in the form of former Team Empire Carry Aybek “Naive-“ Tokaev and a Russian Midlaner by the name of “Oxaien”. We shall see if either of these players manages to make a strong enough impression to earn full time membership on the Odium roster moving forward.
The roster of Odium following the departure of V-Tune and GeneRaL:
Andrey “Ghostik” Kadyk (Offlane)
Ilya “Lil” Ilyuk (Support, Captain)
Semion “CemaTheSlayer” Krivulya (Support)
