Less than a month after announcing its roster for the 2018-2019 season, the Southeast Asian organization is making changes to its lineup.
Clutch Gamers opted to take things in a somewhat untested direction to begin the 2018-2019 Pro Circuit season, as the squad announced a near complete overhaul of its roster in September. Among the team’s new members was an up and coming talent from Myanmar, Myint “InsaNe” Myat Zaw, that the organization was hoping to develop into a core piece of its new lineup. Unfortunately, it appears that InsaNe’s run with Clutch Gamers has come to an end, as the organization announced changes to its roster today that removes him from the team’s lineup. In his place, Clutch Gamers announced the addition of Vincent “AlaCrity” Hiew Teck Yoong, most recently of Battle Arena Elites, to the roster.
AlaCrity comes to Clutch Gamers having spent fairly little time in the professional scene overall, as his career only officially began in March of 2017 as a member of Mineski-X, the secondary squad of the Mineski organization. He has spent time on the rosters of Fire Dragoon and the aforementioned Battle Arena Elites, but did not advance beyond the stage of playing regional tournaments and qualifiers in that time. However, AlaCrity did show off a certain degree of skill in those appearances that has Clutch Gamers hopeful that he can help the squad break through in Southeast Asia and compete with the more prominent squads in the region.
The roster of Clutch Gamers following its roster change:
Nikolay “Nikobaby” Nikolov (Carry/Mid)
Vincent “AlaCrity” Hiew Teck Yoong (Carry/Mid)
Kharis “SkyLark” Zafeiriou (Offlane)
Lee “kYxY” Kong Yang (Support)
Giorgos “SsaSpartan” Giannakopoulos (Support)
Jaseem “Gangster” Khan (Manager)
