Event organizer PGL is set to bring the Pro Circuit back to Bucharest for the second Minor of the 2018-2019 season
As we count down the days remaining before the start of the first event of the Pro Circuit season, the DreamLeague Season 10 Minor, news has come out today as to just where the Dota 2 Pro Circuit will be heading for its second Minor and the third event overall in the 2018-2019 schedule. The announcement was made today that PGL will be kicking off the 2019 section of the Pro Circuit season with The Bucharest Minor, which is set to run from January 9 through the 13th.
Much like the DreamLeague Season 10 Minor and The Kuala Lumpur Major, The Bucharest Minor will not feature any directly invited teams, with all 8 of the participants set to be determined through the regional qualifiers. Said regional qualifiers will run from the 1st through the 5th of December, and will feature all 6 of the Dota 2 Pro Circuit regions (NA, SA, EU, CIS, SEA, China). With 8 teams in the field for the Minor, some regions will be sending an additional squad to Bucharest for the Minor, with both Europe and China having 2 qualifier slots while the other regions will each receive 1. At stake at the Minor will be the Pro Circuit standard prize pools of $300,000 USD and 500 Pro Circuit Points, as well as the title of Minor Champion and a place in the subsequent Major, which has yet to be officially announced.
