The CIS organization takes its first steps into the European region as it signs the Minor-bound Team Lithium lineup.
Some big news has come out in the Dota 2 scene today, as CIS organization Vega Squadron has announced its return to the professional scene with the signing of a new roster. Just 1 month after the organization formally dropped its Dota 2 division, Vega Squadron has announced that it will be signing the entirety of the Team Lithium roster. The news comes on the eve of the newly established Vega Squadron’s Pro Circuit season debut at the DreamLeague Season 10 Minor. While Vega Squadron has traditionally been a CIS organization, its new roster will continue to play within the European region as it has so far this season under its previous name of Team Lithium.
For the now former Team Lithium roster, this shift to the Vega Squadron organization will not have any immediate impact for it aside from a change in name and management. The team’s entire roster was signed by the organization, meaning there are no immediate changes to the lineup that are set to be made. However, the team will still be playing with a stand-in at the Minor as the previously announced replacement of Anas “MagE-“ Hirzallah with Danil “Dendi” Ishutin for this event will still be in effect.
The roster of Vega Squadron following the signing of Team Lithium:
Omar “Madara” Dabachach (Carry)
Anas “MagE-“Hirzallah (Mid)
Maurice “KheZu” Gutmann (Offlane, Captain)
Verros “Maybe Next Time” Apostolos (Support)
Petu “Peksu” Vaatainen (Support)
Alexandr “OneLuckyDay” Kazannikov (Manager)
