The Chinese squad has revealed changes to its lineup just 1 week away from its Pro Circuit debut in Kuala Lumpur
Big news has come out of the Chinese region today, as Kuala Lumpur Major attendee Team Aster has announced that it will be making changes to its roster moving forward. The team’s young Midlaner Deng “Dstones”‘ Lei has been benched by the organization and will now occupy an inactive position on the roster. In his place, Team Aster has announced that Gao “loveyouloveme” Yuan will be playing for the team on loan from For The Dream until December 4th. He won’t be the only addition to Team Aster though, as the organization has also added another coach to its organization. Coach Xu “BurNIng” Zhilei will be joined by former Invictus Gaming Support and Captain Fu “Q” Bin, who will be serving as a coach on a trial basis.
The move comes as something of a surprise for a team that had started its season looking like a leading squad in the Chinese region. However, Team Aster has stumbled a bit across its most recent appearances, and the question of Dstones’ experience at the highest professional level was likely a nagging issue that the organization wanted to deal with before its Pro Circuit debut at The Kuala Lumpur Major. Then again, loveyouloveme isn’t exactly a veteran player either, so whether or not that issue will be fully resolved is still to be determined. Regardless of the change at Mid, the majority of the Team Aster lineup remains intact and will most likely continue to play at or around the level that we’ve seen so far this season. With another veteran presence added to the coaching staff as well in the form of Q, Team Aster still stands as a real threat both in the Chinese region and on the international level as it prepares for The Kuala Lumpur Major next week.
The roster of Team Aster following its changes:
Liu “Sylar” Jiajun (Carry)
Gao “loveyouloveme” Yuan (Mid, Loan)
Lin “Xxs” Jing (Offlane)
Ye “BoBoKa” Zhibiao (Support)
Lu “Fenrir” Chao (Support)
Xu “BurNIng” Zhilei (Coach)

Yang “tou” Lin (Manager)
