The Southeast Asian organization announced its new lineup in preparation for the upcoming Major Open Qualifiers
The next set of Pro Circuit Qualifiers is upon us, and with those new qualifiers comes a host of roster changes as organizations across the Dota 2 world look to make some adjustments in their quest for a position on the Pro Circuit stage. In the Southeast Asian region, DeToNator has become the latest squad to make such changes, as the organization unveiled a new roster for The Chongqing Major Southeast Asian Open Qualiaifers. Carry Steve “Xcalibur” Ye and Support and Team Captain Chan “WinteR” Litt Binn have both departed the DeToNator roster. In their place, the organization announced a trio of new roster additions, adding Ryan “Bimbo” Jay Qui, Samson Solomon Enojosa “Sam_H” Hidalgo, and Sandro Deldo “Luciano” Aguinaldo to the lineup.
For the team’s three new players, this announcement comes more as a formalization of their previous positions, as Bimbo, Sam_H, and Luciano had already been playing for DeToNator as stand-ins as recently as the team’s run through the King’s Cup 2: Southeast Asian last month. However, this shift from stand-ins to official roster members does come with a small shift in positions for the team. Luciano, who had previously been serving as a Carry for the squad, will shift to the Support role, while Bimbo will be taking the Carry role for himself. The team managed to put together a 3rd-4th place finish together at King’s Cup 2: Southeast Asia, and the hope for this organization moving forward is that it will be able to advance and become a consistent threat within the Southeast Asian region this season.
