The Chinese organization has shifted 2 of its players into inactive positions after a rough performance in the recent Pro Circuit qualifiers.
A bombshell has been dropped in the Chinese region today, and it comes from a team that isn’t even participating in the ongoing Pro Circuit qualifiers. Newbee had some difficulties keeping up with its regional rivals so far this season, and apparently those struggles have prompted a rather significant change from the organization. The team’s recent failure to advance out of the open qualifiers for both The Chongqing Major and The Bucharest Minor served as the proverbial straw that broke the camel’s back, and Newbee will be making immediate changes to its main lineup as a results. Carry and veteran player Xu “Moogy” Han has been removed from the team’s active lineup, as has Offlaner He “Inflame” Yongzheng.
In the immediate future, the Newbee organization has stated that its coaches will be serving as stand-ins to complete the team’s ongoing qualifier and event obligations. However, the organization also announced that it has already begun training new players and conducting tryouts for the now vacant spots in the lineup. Whether this means that a player will be called up from one of Newbee’s youth and development squads, or if entirely new talent altogether is being brought in is currently unknown. All we know for now is that change is coming for Newbee, and hopefully those changes will be enough to get the squad back to top of the Chinese regional hierarchy.
The roster of Newbee following the benching of Moogy and Inflame:
Song “Sccc” Chun (Mid)
Yan “Waixi” Chao (Support)
Zeng “Faith” Hongda (Support, Captain)
Wang “Banana” Jiao (Coach)
Gao “GX” Shunxing (Manager)
