Mineski sign AhJit

The Southeast Asian organization has picked up the former Tigers Carry to replace the outgoing JT-.

More roster news comes out of the Southeast Asian region today, as Mineski has announced a new addition to its lineup. Just 24 hours after the news broke that the team was sending Thiay “JT-” Jun Wen to Chinese squad Newbee on loan, the organization has officially revealed his replacement. Former Tigers Carry Lai “Ahjit” Jay Son will become the newest member of the Mineski lineup, reuniting with Midlaner Kam “Moon” Boon Seng to reform the Carry/Mid duo that helped elevate WarriorGaming.Unity to prominence back in 2016 and 2017.

Of course, with AhJit now officially a member of Mineski, there is the question of what happens to JT-. Technically speaking, he is still under contract with the Mineski organization, and was sent to Newbee on loan. Should Newbee find success with JT- in its lineup, then the possibility exists for the Chinese team to attempt to buy out JT-‘s contract and sign him on a long-term basis. Otherwise, JT- would ostensibly return to Mineski at some point before the end of his current contract, where he would shift into an inactive role in the organization until such point as he could be traded or released to free agency.

The roster of Mineski following the addition of AhJit:

Lai “Ahjit” Jay Son (Carry)
Kam “Moon” Boon Seng (Mid)
Damien “kpii” Chok (Offlane)
Kim “Febby” Yong-min (Support)
Johan “pieliedie” Åström (Support, Captain)
Zak “DashOCE” Holman (Manager)
