TNC Predator to part ways with ninjaboogie

The Southeast Asian squad will enter the Minor qualifiers with a new look and new leadership as its former captain is dropped from the roster.

After an unsuccessful and somewhat disappointing run in the DreamLeague Season 11 Major Southeast Asia Qualifier, TNC Predator has announced that it is making changes to its lineup in preparation fro the upcoming Minor qualifiers. The organization revealed today that Support and Team Captain Michael “ninjaboogie” Ross Jr. will no longer be a part of the team’s active roster and has been released from the team. With ninjaboogie gone, Offlaner Carlo “Kuku” Palad will assume the captaincy of the squad, while Nico “eyyou” Barcelon will be temporarily coming over from the roster of Lotac in order to fill out the team’s lineup for the StarLadder ImbaTV Invitational Season 6 Minor Qualifiers.

After a period of around 5 months with the TNC Predator organization, ninjaboogie now finds himself a free agent within the Southeast Asian region. A professional player since 2012, ninjaboogie has made quite a name for himself in the region, having put together stints on major regional powers such as Execration, Rave, and Mineski prior to joining TNC Predator back in September of 2018. He was a part of the Mineski roster that famously won the Dota 2 Asia Championships 2018 in April of last year, claiming the first and only Major Championship title in the history of Southeast Asian Dota. As a TI attendee, 9 time Major participant, and 6 time Minor participant, ninjaboogie has accrued an extensive level of experience on the international level, and that experience will make him a valuable commodity on the free agent market. As of right now, there are no clear indications of where ninjaboogie will end up, but with the Minor qualifiers on the horizon, there is a high chance that the veteran player finds a new home soon, or puts together a squad of his own to continue competing within the Southeast Asian region.

As for ninjaboogie’s now former team, the future is also somewhat unclear. For the time being, TNC Predator appears to have a plan, with Kuku taking over the Captain role and eyyou serving as a temporary stand-in. However, there is little to reveal what the team’s plans beyond this upcoming Minor qualifier will be. Will the squad attempt to poach eyyou from Lotac after the conclusion of this qualifier, or will the squad be in the market for another Support player to fill out the vacancy formed by ninjaboogie’s departure? For now, all we can do is speculate, but be on the look out for more news from TNC Predator in the days following the end of this current round of Pro Circuit qualifiers.

The roster of TNC Predator following the departure of ninjaboogie:

Kim “Gabbi” Villafuerte (Carry)
Armel Paul “Armel” Tabios (Mid)
Carlo “Kuku” Palad (Offlane, Captain)
Timothy “Tims” Randrup (Support)
Nico “eyyou” Barcelon (Support, Stand-in)
