The team’s Midlaner appears to be on the way out as the organization de-listed him on Valve’s official registration page.
One of the bigger teams within the Chinese region appears to be on the cusp of making a significant change to its roster in the wake of the most recent round of Pro Circuit qualifiers. After failing to secure itself a place on the Pro Circuit stage for the first time this season, Team Aster looks as though it may be looking at potential alterations to its lineup moving forward. On the official Pro Circuit roster registration page, the team has removed Gao “loveyouloveme” Yuan (going under the alternate ID “lover”) from its registered lineup. As of right now, the Team Aster organization has not made any sort of announcement of loveyouloveme’s departure or a potential replacement, but the fact that it has already made and adjustment to its officially registered roster means that a move is almost guaranteed to be forthcoming.
If this move ends up going through, it would bring to an end a relatively short tenure for loveyouloveme with the Team Aster organization. The Midlaner was brought to the roster in November to take the place of Dstones, who now could be a leading candidate to claim the roster spot that loveyouloveme will be vacating. Prior to joining Team Aster, loveyouloveme was a member of For The Dream, having been loaned from said team in November before being officially added to Team Aster’s roster in December. With loveyouloveme now ostensibly being released to free agency, a return to his former team would be a logical next step for the Midlaner, although there are a number of other teams in the region who could be looking to pick up a player with some valuable experience playing on the Pro Circuit stage.
As of right now, we cannot be sure of either where loveyouloveme will end up going next nor who will be replacing him in the Team Aster lineup. What we do know for sure though is that Team Aster will be losing Pro Circuit points because of this change. With the removal of 1 players from its registered roster, Team Aster will relinquish 20 per cent of its current Pro Circuit point total. That penalty will bring the team’s total to this point in the season down from 150 point to just 120, and with the squad failing to qualify for the next Major and Minor, the squad will not be making up those losses in the immediate future.
