Vega Squadron drops its Dota 2 roster

Halfway through the 2018-2019 campaign, Vega Squadron its pulling the plug on its foray into the European region

With the end of another set of Pro Circuit qualifiers, the time appears to be at hand for another round of roster changes across the Dota 2 world. This time around, it is Vega Squadron that finds itself caught up in those changes, as the organization has announced that it will not longer be fielding a Dota 2 roster. Citing a lack of results and LAN appearances in what has been an incredibly crowded European region, the organization is set to part ways with its roster, and has put any further plans for picking up a new roster on hold until the end of the upcoming Major/Minor pair. The good news for fans of the now former Vega Squadron roster is that the team will remain together for the foreseeable future. Support player Petu “Peksu” Vaatainen has stated that the 4 players that have left Vega Squadron will continue to play as a team and will be looking for a new 5th member to complete its roster moving forward.

The former roster of Vega Squadron:

Omar “Madara” Dabachach (Carry)
Dmitry “DM” Dorokhin (Mid)
Maurice “KheZu” Gutmann (Offlane)
Petu “Peksu” Vaatainen (Support)
Niklas “okcya” Koskinen (Coach)
Allen “Bonkers” Cook (Manager)
