The Southeast Asian squad is calling it quits as the team announces a disband.
The Southeast Asian region is losing a squad today, as Lotac has announced that it is releasing its Dota 2 roster after a string of what it deemed to be sub par results within its home region. All 5 of the team’s players have been released to free agency, but the organization has stated that it will continue working to help its now former roster find positions with other squads for the rest of the Pro Circuit season. While the team may not have lived up to its own expectations this season, Lotac’s play within the Southeast Asian region was actually fairly solid. The team participated in 10 regional qualifiers and events, and earned Top 4 finishes across 9 of them. Unfortunately, those 10 regional appearances resulted in just a single LAN appearance for the squad; a 4th place finish at the Asia Pacific Predator League 2019. Lotac’s now former lineup has a solid combination of young talent and veteran experience, and wherever its players end up, they are likely to be capable of making a significant impact on their new squads.
The former roster of Lotac:
Rolen Andrei Gabriel “Skemberlu” Ong (Carry)
Kee Chyuan “ChYuan” Ng (Mid)
Khoo “Ohaiyo” Chong Xin (Offlane)
Marc Polo Luis “Raven” Fausto (Support)
Ng “YamateH” Wei Poong (Support)
