Team Empire parts ways with BLACKARXANGEL, KingR to stand-in

The CIS squad sports a new look just ahead of the next round of Pro Circuit qualifiers

Team Empire has announced a change to its roster today, as the CIS squad has revealed that Support and team captain Vladislav “BLACKARXANGEL” Ivaschenko will be parting ways with the organization. To fill the now vacant position in the team’s lineup, Team Empire has announced that inactive Gambit Esports member and former Team Empire player Rinat “KingR” Abdullin will be serving as a stand-in for the squad.

The move comes at a time when Team Empire was beginning to build up some momentum for itself, with solid performances across both the CIS and European regions. Since the start of 2019, the team has appeared in 6 events across the 2 regions, and has come away with 4 Top 4 finishes. The team’s most recent appearance even netted it a 1st place position, as the squad emerged victorious in the BTS Spring Cup: Europe just under a week ago. The loss of BLACKARXANGEL is certainly disappointing for Team Empire, but the team has to be hoping that the temporary addition of KingR in his stead will help the squad continue to put up solid showings within its home region.

The roster of Team Empire following the departure of BLACKARXANGEL:

Kiyalbek “dream`” Tayirov (Carry)
Konstantin “kodos-” Kogai (Mid)
Igor Andreevich “Maden” Modenov (Offlane)
Oleg “sayuw” Kalenbet (Support)
Rinat “KingR” Abdullin (Support) (Stand-in)
Andrey “KaHT” Shulgin (Coach)
Dmitry “Korb3n” Belov (Manager)
