After a period of inactivity with the team, the Canadian Offlaner is confirmed to be out of the Southeast Asian squad’s roster
For a period of around 2 months now, Offlaner David “MoonMeander” Tan’s place on the roster of Southeast Asian squad Tigers has been in flux. In February, Tigers appeared to experiment with putting him in the Carry role, with WarriorsGaming.Unity player Kim “Velo” Tae-sung serving as a stand-in at the Offlane position. In the squad’s most recent appearance at the BTS Spring Cup: Southeast Asia though, Moonmeander was not a part of the team’s active roster at all, leading many to wonder whether the Canadian player would be remaining a member of Tigers through the rest of the season. Today, that mystery appears to have been solved, as MoonMeander is reportedly set to leave the roster of Tigers. According to an article from KarY of esportsheaven, MoonMeander has confirmed that he is no longer a member of Tigers and has become a free agent in the Dota 2 world.
MoonMeander joined the roster of Tigers back in September of 2018, as part of the team’s roster changes during its transition away from the TNC organization. As a member of Tigers, he helped the squad earn 4 Top 4 finishes in regional qualifiers (not including open qualifiers), and played a large role in the squad’s 1st place finish on the international level at the DreamLeague Season 10 Minor. With his departure from Tigers, there is some speculation that MoonMeander intends to return to the North American region, and for the time being he has registered with an NA team for the open qualifiers for the MDL Disneyland Paris Major.
The roster of Tigers following the departure of MoonMeander:
Trịnh “458” Văn Thọ (Carry)
Danil “Dendi” Ishutin (Mid) (On loan from Na’Vi)
Kenny “Xepher” Deo (Support)
Sivatheeban “1437” Sivanathapillai (Support, Captain)
