Bimbo, ninjaboogie make return to Mineski roster

The Support duo has found their way back to their former organization as the team reveals its new lineup

After Mineski announced the departure of Supports Kim “Febby” Yong-min and Johan “pieliedie” Åström just a few days ago, there was a fair bit of speculation as to who the organization would pick up to complete its roster. With the start of the MDL Disneyland Paris Major Qualifiers right around the corner, it was safe to assume that the team already had its new members in mind, and today it appears that said assumption was correct, as the team revealed its newest roster additions. A pair of former Mineski members will be making their return to the organization, as Ryan “Bimbo” a.k.a “Raging Potato” Jay Qui and Michael “ninjaboogie” Ross Jr. will be taking over as the team’s new Support duo.

Bimbo comes back to the Mineski organization after a period of about 4 months as a member of the DeToNator roster, where he helped guide the team to a slew of Top 4 finishes across minor events and tournaments in the Southeast Asian and Chinese regions. The Filipino Support previously played for Mineski from 2011 to 2014, and then again from late 2014 to 2017, attending both The Frankfurt Major 2015 and The Manila Major 2016 as a member of the roster. As for ninjaboogie, his most recent experience came as a member of TNC Predator, as the veteran Support spent around 5 months with the team and played a large role in getting the squad to both The Kuala Lumpur Major in November and The Chongqing Major in January. His prior stint as a member of Mineski lasted around 2 years between 2016 and 2018, helping the squad make 6 Minor appearances, 7 Major appearances, and 1 trip to TI8 in that time. Included among those appearances was also the Mineski organization’s first Minor title at PGL Open Bucharest in October of 2017, as well as its first and only Major Championship title at DAC 2018. With these 2 players back in the mix for the organization, Mineski is hoping to maintain a presence on the international level and potentially work itself into a position of strength on the Pro Circuit.

The roster of Mineski following the addition of Bimbo and ninjaboogie:

Lai “Ahjit” Jay Son (Carry)
Kam “Moon” Boon Seng (Mid)
Damien “kpii” Chok (Offlane)
Ryan “Bimbo” a.k.a “Raging Potato” Jay Qui (Support)
Michael “ninjaboogie” Ross Jr. (Support, Captain)
Zak “DashOCE” Holman (Manager)
