Royal Club announce roster changes for Royal, Royal Never Give Up

The Royal Club organization is at the center of a mini roster shuffle in China with multiple moves across its 2 squads

Today, the Chinese scene was shaken up a bit, as multiple organizations in the region announced changes to their roster. Royal Club is included among those partaking in this mini shuffle, with changes coming to the rosters of both Royal and Royal Never Give Up. We will begin with the changes made to the Royal lineup, as the organization’s secondary squad was the one that underwent more changes in this shuffle. First, the organization parted ways with Midlaner Tang “897” Zhirui, acquiring Ou “Op” Peng from the roster of DeathBringer Gaming to replace him. Also joining the squad for Royal will be Sun “Srf” Runfa, who has been moved from the RNG roster to Royal in exchange for Su “Flyby” Lei and is set to play the Offlane role for the team. The team is also set to lose its coach, as Xie “Super” Junhao will be moving over to Royal Never Give Up to serve as its coach for the foreseeable future.

As for the roster of Royal Never Give Up, the changes are slightly less drastic. As previously mentioned, the team traded Srf to Royal in exchange for Flyby, but the team also parted ways with its coach. Tong “Mikasa” Junjie, who had been the coach of Royal Never Give Up since the start of the 2018-2019 season, has left the team in order to accept a position as the coach of regional rivals Team Aster. Replacing him will be Super, as the former Royal coach has moved over to the organization’s other squad to take up the position vacated by Mikasa. The moves come at a rather interesting time for RNG, as the squad is just around a week away from its appearance on the Pro Circuit stage at the OGA Dota PIT Minor 2019 in Split, Croatia.
