Team Sirius replace Inflame with Injuly

The Chinese squad is swapping out Offlaners just 1 week before its appearance at the season’s final Minor

With the TI9 Qualifiers on the horizon, it is not all that surprising that the first bits of news regarding new teams and roster changes are starting to trickle in within the Dota 2 world. What is a bit surprising though, is that fact that one of those teams making changes to their lineup is one that isn’t quite done with the regular season as of yet. Just 1 week before the start of the StarLadder ImbaTV Dota 2 Minor Season 2, Chinese squad Team Sirius has announced that it is making a change to its roster. Offlaner He “Inflame” Yongzheng has parted ways with the organization, with the team set to bring in Yang “InJuly” Xiaodong from Aster.Aquarius to take up the position.

InJuly comes to the roster of Team Sirius as a veteran of the Chinese scene, having played at the professional level since late 2011 with stints as part of major regional organizations like LGD and Invictus Gaming, among others. The Offlaner got his first true taste of what we would consider “top tier” international competition as a member of LGD at DAC 2015. However, InJuly’s most notable stretch came from 2016 to 2018 as a member of an incredibly fun to watch iG.Vitality roster that attended The Boston Major, The Kiev Major, and TI7 behind the stellar play of a younger and lesser known Carry by the name of Paparazi灬, who has since grown to be one of the premier players in the Chinese region and the Dota 2 world as a whole. While the career trajectory of InJuly has not quite matched up to that of his former teammate, the addition of another veteran presence to the roster of Team Sirius will hopefully serve as a stabilizing force as the squad prepares for its debut appearance on the Pro Circuit stage in Kiev.

The roster of Team Sirius following the addition of InJuly:

Liu “Sylar” Jiajun (Carry)
Li “ASD” Zhiwen (Mid)
Yang “InJuly” Xiaodong (Offlane)
Jiang “天命” An (Support)
Xu “Hym” Zhi (Support)
Chen “longb” Long (Coach)
