After parting ways with its previous lineup, the South American organization has picked up a new squad for a run in the TI9 Qualifiers.
Just days after an incredibly disappointing performance in the EPICENTER Major, South American organization Infamous has opted to pick up a new team for a run through the TI9 Qualifier. To that end, the squad has signed 4 of the 5 members of Team Anvorgesa to form a new roster. Hector Antonio “K1” Rodriguez, Jean Pierre “Chris Brown” Gonzales, Adrian “Wisper” Cespedes Dobles, and Steven “StingeR” Vargas will be coming over from the Team Anvorgesa roster, but Diego “Jericho” Rivera will not be joining his now former teammates. Instead, Infamous is bringing in regional veteran and former Thunder Predator member Elvis “Scofield” De la Cruz Peña to round out its lineup.
Infamous and its new roster has the benefit of skipping over the Open Qualifiers for TI9, as the team received a direct invitation to the Main Regional Qualifiers alongside paiN Gaming, Thunder Predator, and Team Ham (the former Infamous lineup minus Black^). With Scofield’s significant experience added to an already solid contender in the South American region, the new Infamous roster is hoping to put together a strong enough run to compete for the lone South American slot in Shanghai for TI9. The TI9 Main Qualifiers are set to begin July 7.
