The organization and its recently acquired new lineup will be the lone South American representatives on the TI stage in Shanghai
The final region in this first round of TI9 Qualifiers has come to an end, with the third of 6 total slots in Shanghai being claimed. The South American region was the final one among the first 3 (Southeast Asia, CIS, and South America) to close out its qualifier run, with the region’s lone spot in Shanghai being claimed by Peruvian organization Infamous. Just over a week after signing the roster of Team Anvorgesa, Infamous managed to put together a dominant showing against its regional rivals, posting a 14-3 overall record in this event and taking a clean 3-0 sweep of its Grand Finals series against paiN Gaming to punch its ticket to TI9.
With its victorious campaign in this regional qualifier, the Infamous organization has earned its second ever appearance on the TI stage, with the team having previously attended TI7 in Seattle. The roster that accomplished that feat was long gone by the time this current iteration of Infamous managed to earn their place at TI9, with every single member of the team’s current lineup set to make their TI debuts in Shanghai. With its qualifier run now at an end, Infamous can focus upon preparing for the main event itself, with TI9 set to officially begin on August 15 from the Mercedes-Benz Arena in Shanghai.
