Team Spirit parts ways with roster

After a season in which the organization fielded multiple lineups, Team Spirit is looking for a fresh start as it drops its current roster

CIS organization Team Spirit has announced today that it will be dropping its current Dota 2 lineup, with the entirety of the team being released to free agency. The team’s most recent roster was the second that the organization had fielded in the 2018-2019 season, having put together a mostly European lineup at the beginning of the campaign that was dropped midway through January. In March, the organization signed the roster of CIS squad Old But Gold, with that squad closing out the season under the Team Spirit banner and earning 3 Top 4 finishes in 5 total appearances. Now, the quintet of Illidan, G, BZZ, velheor, and VANSKOR are free agents in the CIS scene, and as of right now there is no indication of whether the squad will look to remain together and possible reform its previous Old But Gold team, or if they will simply part ways and pursue other opportunities. Should the players go their separate ways, then they will likely draw a fair bit of attention as veteran pieces once the post-TI roster shuffle begins this year.

The former roster of Team Spirit following the squad’s disband:

Ilya “Illidan” Pivcaev (Carry)
Sergey Alexandrovich “G” Bragin (Mid)
Stanislav “633” a.k.a “BZZ” Glushan (Offlane)
Fedor “velheor” Rusikhin (Support)
Ivan “VANSKOR” Skorokhod (Support)
Maxim “TheHeartlessKing” Fadeev (Coach)
Ruslana “DKLana” Berest (Manager)
