PSG.LGD to part ways with coach, fy to go inactive for surgery

The Chinese organization has outlined its plans for the first few months of the upcoming 2019-2020 season

PSG.LGD made an announcement regarding its roster for the upcoming 2019-2020 season, though the team’s upcoming moves are not nearly as dramatic as many had feared. The organization announced that it will be parting ways with long time coach Yao “QQQ” a.k.a “357” Yi, bringing his time with the squad to an end after a period of nearly 3 years as coach.

In addition to the departure of QQQ from the organization, PSG.LGD also announced that Support and Captain Xu “fy” Linsen will be going inactive for a period of around 3 months in order to prepare for, and subsequently recover from, an upcoming medical procedure. Rather than begin the 2019-2020 season with a stand-in for fy, the organization and its players have opted to skip the first Major of the season. While this does mean that PSG.LGD will be absent for the first month or 2 of the season, it would at least imply that the organization does not have any planned or pending roster moves on the horizon. However, a lot can change over the course of the next 3 months, and we will have to wait and see just what the squad looks like when fy returns from his medical leave.

The roster of PSG.LGD following the departure of QQQ:

Wang “Ame” Chunyu (Carry)
Lu “Somnus丶M” Yao (Mid)
Yang “Chalice”‘ Shenyi (Offlane)
Xu “fy” Linsen (Support, Captain) (Inactive)
Jian Wei “xNova” Yap (Support)
Yao “Yao” Zhengzheng (Coach)
Pan “Fei” Fei (General Manager)
