The former member of Newbee has found a new home as Sccc has been officially acquired by Team Aster
Just days after announcing his departure from the Newbee organization and hinting at a possible hiatus from professional Dota 2, Chinese Midlaner Song “Sccc” Chun has moved to a new squad for the upcoming 2019-2020 season. Chinese organization Team Aster, fresh off of its debut season on the Pro Circuit, has picked up the Midlaner as a free agent, adding another well-known name to its roster. Said roster now holds 1 player too many though, as the organization did not announce any departures from its lineup alongside of addition of Sccc. With 6 players now on its current roster, there are 2 possibilities for Team Aster. The first, is that Sccc will b e taking his hiatus from the professional scene after all, and would therefore not be an active member of Team Aster for however long his break would last. The other possibility is that Team Aster will be releasing 1 or more of its players in the coming days in order to make room for Sccc and any further roster additions. It should be noted that the team’s current Carry/Mid duo of Liu “Kamma” Chang and Kee Chyuan “ChYuan” Ng were introduced to the roster as trial members, and could potentially be cut from the lineup with less hassle in terms of contract situations. While the team appears to have further decisions to make in the near future, for now Team Aster can celebrate the addition of one of the most well-known names in the Chinese region in Sccc.
