In the wake of an unsuccessful run in the TI9 Europe Qualifier, the European squad has opted to start fresh with a revamped roster for the new season
Team Singularity emerged as a much improved squad in the 2018-2019 Pro Circuit season, as the organization signed the roster of The ReaL DeaL in February and made appearances across several regional events and Pro Circuit qualifiers. Unfortunately, the squad couldn’t quite get over the hump to reach the Pro Circuit stage itself, and its 6th place finish in the TI9 Europe Qualifier showed that the team still had a ways to go to catch up to its regional rivals. In an effort to close that gap between itself and its fellow European squads, Team Singularity has announced some big changes to its lineup, bringing in 4 new players while retaining Carry Steve “Xcalibur” Ye. Joining Xcalibur will be the quartet of Midlaner Anas “MagE-“ Hirzallah, Offlaner Jonáš “SabeRLight-” Volek, and Supports Dino “dnz” Šavuk and Petu “Peksu” Vaatainen.
Team Singularity certainly appeared to be a squad with some potential across the latter half of the previous Pro Circuit season, and now the team’s new roster will have the task of picking up where the last iteration left off and continuing to improve the team’s standing in the European region. The squad as it currently stands has a fair bit of experience and skill on the roster, but time will tell if this new-look Team Singularity lineup can truly go toe-to-toe with the heavy hitters within the European hierarchy.
