While the organization recently merged with The Final Tribe, GODSENT will be fielding a mostly new roster for the upcoming season
Earlier this month, the GODSENT organization entered the Dota 2 world via a merger with fellow Swedish organization The Final Tribe. At the time of the merge, GODSENT acquired the roster of The Final Tribe, but it seems as though the majority of that roster will be replaced for the upcoming 2019-2020 season. When Midlaner Rasmus “Chessie” Blomdin announced the formation of a new roster the day before the Roster Registration deadline, there were some who wondered if he would be parting ways with GODSENT as part of that process. Instead, it appears that the roster Chessie announced will play under the GODSENT banner this season, with Chessie and teammate Andreas “Xibbe” Ragnemalm being joined by Carry Charlie “CharlieDota” Arat, Offlaner Maurice “KheZu” Gutmann, and Support Jerry “EGM” Lundkvist.
With this move, GODSENT has ostensibly parted ways with both Pontus “Frost” Frost and Simon “Handsken” Haag. The latter had previously been announced as a member of Fata’s new squad, while the former is now a free agent within the European region. While that duo moves on to other opportunities in the Dota 2 world, the restructed GODSENT lineup will look to make a strong first impression within its home region, with the first Pro Circuit Qualifier of the 2019-2020 season just over a week away.
The roster of GODSENT following the announcement of its new lineup:
Charlie “CharlieDota” Arat (Carry)
Rasmus “Chessie” Blomdin (Mid)
Maurice “KheZu” Gutmann (Offlane)
Jerry “EGM” Lundkvist (Support)
Andreas “Xibbe” Ragnemalm (Support)
